Imagination is nothing but making a film in your mind of a particular scene. It is like a mental drama. Another word for Imagination is Visualization.

But, what is the power of Imagination? It was proved that if we do a rehearsal of a particular scene during the day most of the times with calm mind, that scene will come in to existence in real life. For example, if you dream (I mean imagination) about getting a sports car, driving it, then you surely get it. Surprised? But it’s true. The art of imagination is simple to use but it has a great power. Everyone will be surprised and will be in doubt when they hear this simple technique. But, it does really have such a power. But how can you do that?

Doing imagination is nothing but impressing your mind with the scene by doing mentally continuously whenever you get the time. Whenever you do imaging, your mind should be calm and should not be distracted. But how can you achieve a calm mind. Calm mind can be achieved by practicing meditation and there are number of resources on meditation, which you can get through books, audio (mp3), videos, and many other resources from Internet.

The power of imagination techniques has great effect when you precede it with meditation. But, do not try to be in hurry to imagine what you want in your life. You should start slowly and then try to imagine your bigger goals. First, try to imagine your house, walls, rooms, all the things in your house, feeling of looking at them and  touching them. You should imagine in a way you actually doing it in real life and have feelings too. You even try to imagine an apple or orange and try to feel its skin, feel how it smells.

In order to achieve what you want, your imagination should be like realistic. You should feel emotionally. The more your feelings are, the sooner you reach your goal. This is not a one day job. You have to do this every day, may be in the morning or at night. It has more effect if you do it just after waking up in the morning or just before sleeping at night. And one more important thing is, don’t be in hurry of getting your goal and never doubt it. If you doubt, then the imagination has no power.

So, start your day with imagination for 5 minutes and increase the time slowly every few days. While you are imagining, you should feel comfortable and happy. Never, make yourself uncomfortable, irritable. If you do not feel comfortable, stop doing it and start at some other time.

Also, never have negative thoughts in your mind. Always, think positive and expect your goal soon.  There are many resources online to get started with.  Many resources are free. I have added some e-books in this site, which you can download for free.
